Ellen Newbauer’s love of woodworking and art started while growing up in Montana. Her entire family was artistically gifted, so she comes by her talent and interests naturally. Her love of black and white photography led her to pointillism art and creating her own frames. Her unique and handcrafted frames reached far beyond her own art so in the late 90’s she opened her first business Framed by LN. While she still creates custom frames her art has grown far beyond her expectations, from uniquely designed end tables with intricate scrollwork to elegant Art Nouveau styled desks, burl inlaid writing tables, and handcrafted electric guitars. Her ability to transform a raw form into an object of beauty is reflected by her intimate relationship between wood and fine art.
